West Indies Assistance offers medical repatriation and concierge services.
Wherever you are in the world right now, on a business trip or honeymoon, you can unfortunately get sick or have an accident.
In this case, if repatriation to your home country is not an option due to your state of health, you must seek medical treatment locally. Unfortunately, in many countries, medical care is inadequate. In this case, medical evacuation to an area offering an optimum level of care is required.
It is in this precise context that the experts of West Indies Assistance intervene. Medical evacuation involves the organization of a medical aircraft with a medical team and its equipment.
In the event of an emergency, we organize your medical evacuation to the nearest suitable destination hospital, then repatriate you to your home or a hospital in your country of origin.

Transparency on costs incurred
The cost of medical repatriation and hospitalization at the university hospital can vary according to the means of transport chosen, the pathology and the equipment carried, and can reach several tens of thousands of euros depending on the origin and destination.
Depending on the patient’s nationality, the cost of medical evacuation or repatriation may be fully or partially covered by insurance, Social Security, mutual insurance or the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This rate will depend on several factors:
- The patient’s state of health,
- Nationality (European health insurance card for Europeans),
- The urgency of the situation,
- Flight time,
- The presence of a medical team or medical equipment,
- Chartering a medical aircraft.
Whatever the situation, we draw up a detailed, customized quote for each case.
